Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
A plane carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed following established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, such as Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to Brussels at the time.
This event is not the first time that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has encountered technical problems.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was required to turn back to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical fault.
